We would like to thank you for your tremendous support and response to our
October 27th acquisition of the SailNet website (www.sailnet.com) community.
As many of you are aware, the parent company of SailNet filed for bankruptcy
this past July and abruptly and without warning shut down the email lists.
 
We are marine.com, the operators of an online boating supply superstore that
started in 1997. We have a strong repeat customer following, sound financial
backing and a team that is committed to building successful brands.  We have
no relationship to the prior owners or management of SailNet.
 
All of us here are excited about the new adventure ahead of us and are
moving quickly to put the wind back in the sails of your community.  We have
recently reactivated the email lists. We moved the mail list database and
mail list software from old antiquated servers to our secure facility and
put them on high speed web servers to insure a positive experience with the
new SailNet. 
 
We invite you back to enjoy once again all the features you came to expect.
SailNet is far more than just an email list. We have been recognized by
Forbes Magazine as "Best of the Web" four year's in a row for providing our
members with email lists, forums and informative articles written by
well-known writers in the sailing world.   
 
In addition to reactivating your email lists, we have already launched our
new SailNet Store (shop.sailnet.com) with over 30,000 products.  We are also
working on new and exciting articles and features for the SailNet.com
community. We look forward to hearing your thoughts, opinions and
