[C320-list] Shaft replacement

Installed the Autoprop yesterday!!! I opted not to
replace the shaft this year and try it with the
original bronze shaft.  The primary reason I didn't
change the shaft was it seems to me the only way to
repalce the shaft is by dropping the rudder...is this
true? is there anyone out there who has actually
changed their shaft  while keeping the rudder in
place?  if so what pointers do you have, How did you
do it??  I am still amenable to changing the shaft,
but it just seemed that it was a much bigger job with
the rudder removal, are there any non-rudder dropping
shaft changers out there?
