Irv,
My dealer installed a Heart 20 (2000w) charger/ inverter and it has worked great since I bought the boat..

Dick
What size inverter did you get?
We sometimes wish we had one. We only have the OEM alternator, but we
useually are docked when we use it on shore power.
Is the true wattage requirement for the Microwave 650 as somone mentioned?
Do you need an oversize inverter to cover any startup surge.
The microwave would be the only thing we would need the inverter for and
maybe some small fans that would not be running at the same time.

On WindWalker II we use the microwave all the time. I have an inverter that
generates the juice along with a Balmar alternator.

We also stop at other Yacht Clubs on out travels up and down the coast so
use it dockside.

Hello!
I have an original, never used microwave that I removed to improve storage.
I would like to sell for $30 plus shipping. If interested contact me
offline.

i think i am in the same category of many, (keep in mind my 320 has a
microwave) what do you do with it? Like Orlando said it is a good place to
store stuff, but if mine broke, i don't know how I would find out, so
replacement would not be an issue.

In 2003 I had some trouble finding a replacement at any of the usual retail
stores. I eventually bought a .5 cuft Origo #3252 micro from Defender for
$145. It is a little deeper than the original micro, but it fit with a
little work to anchor it in place.
