Dick,
I found the spec on Trinidad SR (attached) and it looks like I should be
good for 60 days from painting to launch.  As long as the truck does not
get
lost on the way it should be in Dana Point in less than a week. Also given
the temp, 90 (and 90% humidity except during the down pours and then I
guess
it is 100%), I can recoat after a couple of hours.
I've used Interlux ablative products on our previous boat and I know they
do
require you to splash shortly after application.
The key is that the yard down here in Saint Petersburg's is great.  They
let
do-it-yourselfers have the run of the place and a lay day only costs me
$25
day for the boat and another $10 for the mast.   Dana Point Ship Yard gave
me a quote of over $300 per day!
I've got a quote of $13 per foot for shrink wrapping which I'm
considering,
just incase the driver decides to pelt the boat with rocks.  I wonder if
some deet(SP?) will protect the boat from the bugs....:-)

I'm also taking the opportunity to re-bed the chain plates which I do not
think have ever been done since the boat was made in 2000.  I found lots
of
rust around the welds so it is clear that the bedding failed.
