This is a reply from Yanmar re. starting and glow or not to glow: Mr Warren Updike Compression ratio 3GM = 23.0:1 uses Swirl type Pre-combustion chamber which assists with starting and anti-knock. 3YM30 compression ratio 23.4:1 indirect injection with Glow plugs. Kind Regards Greg D'Silva
