Hello,

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Beginning in 2007, we will be erasing all the unused
website login accounts from our catalina320.com Association website.

Q & A
=====

Q: Will my C320-List subscription go away?
A: It will have NO effect on your C320-list subscription. Everyone on the
C320-List is considered "active" regardless of whether they participate or
not.

Q: How do I know whether my account will be erased or not?
A: If you have logged into the www.catalina320.com website by entering your
username/password at least once in the year 2006, then your account is
considered active. It is not enough to simply browse over to the site, you
*must* actually log in.

Q: What if I forgot my password and/or my username?
A: If you forgot your password, you can click the following link and enter
the email address you originally signed up with and it will email you login
information. Note, that it will send the login information to the email
address on file, so if that's changed, you may need to contact me
*off-list*.

Q: How do I prevent my website account from being erased?
A: Visit www.catalina320.com and enter your username/password in the login
box and sign in once. That's it. If you visit the site and it say "Welcome
(your name)", and your username is listed in the "Who's Online" box in the
left column, you've logged in and your account will be considered active.

Q: What about User accounts with pictures in the photo gallery?
A: It's especially important for people with C320 photo albums on the
website to log in once to ensure that these don't go away or get orphaned.

Q: What do I need to do to keep my web account in good standing?
A: Log in at least once a year, and update your email address on the website
anytime you change email addresses. This is currently the only way to
retrieve forgotten usernames and passwords.

Q: Do I need to *own* a Catalina 320 to have a Catalina320 website login
account?
A: No, you do NOT need to own or have previously owned a Catalina 320 to
keep your website login. Just having an interest in the C320 is enough.
But you still need to log in periodically to prevent your account from
getting stale and risk being deleted.

Q: Why are you doing all this?
A1) We have been under very heavy attack from spammers over the past 6 mos.
We're tightening the security some.
A2) There are 675+ users with web accounts, and roughly half of them haven't
logged in this year and the email addresses may not be valid any more. As a
protective measure, we need to remove invalid accounts.

Feel free to voice your concerns and questions, but please don't email any
usernames or passwords here since this gets indexed by google...
