Brain why don't you join me at the Stormont Yacht Club in Long Sault (best
club around), sail on the St. Lawrence river and have access to the Lakes?
We have the only 320 in the area. Contact me off the list

Joan:
The drive from Ottawa to Kingston is about 2.5 hours and a 5 hour round
trip prevents unplanned, casual sailing or week night racing as long as
I still have a job that I need to keep. We still have 5.5 years to
retirement, and I see a future where we either retire to the Kingston
area and sail the big water, or move the boat there snyway and drive
down to sail her whenever we feel like it and the conditions are
favourable; after all every day will be Saturday. In the latter case I
would get a for cheap hull like a Tanzer 22 to casual sail and race
locally if we select to remain in Ottawa post-employment. Until then we
will continue to sail the Ottawa River and thus need to bring what ever
I get up here; 26 rural miles long in our area and we are 20 minutes
from Bounty, our Tanzer 8.5 located on the other side of the city.
Peter:
Our son is 20 and still at home as he completes university so we are on
the other end of the "family journey". Our next (last) boat is to be
something for the two of us that we do have time for. Your boat sounds
too good for us. I am considering something with a furling main to
reduce the impact of some minor mobility issues my crew has.
Additionally we are somewhat price sensititive, with a used C320 being
the least hobbling financially. I have an eye on two 2004 boats on
YachtWorld at less than 107000 USD. That does not include
transportation, setup or Provincial and Federal sales taxes. Your hull
sounds so lightly used that you shoould be able to get more.
