[C320-list] water system leak?

I ordered the water valves from Whale and installed
them in the cold water leads from the galley to the
stern shower and from the galley to the internal
shower. I did this because I suspected a leak in
either lead, since the pump would come on every now
and then without a faucet being open.

Now the interesting thing is that with these valves
open, the situation is the same as before, but with
one of them closed, the pump ticks on much quicker and
more frequent.
So my gut feeling now is that the leak may be in the
hot water leads. Should I expect the pump to cycle on
more frequent if there are less leads away from the
pump and there is a leak in one of the leads? I could
see that that's the case, since pressure will be
higher so the leak will be more 'visible' to the pump?

Also, would the pump come on if the leak was in the
leads from the water tanks to the pump?

By the way, I tried the adjustment screw on the pump
and that helped a little bit, but the pump still
cycles on. With the valves closed it's about once per
second.
