[C320-list] Re: C320-List Digest, Vol 4, Issue 80

Jeff,
I only bought the new genny. But I upgraded from standard crosscut and
dacron since we do allot of evening sails with just the genny. Also he
predicted that I'd get longer overall life in sail shape. Although the OE
sail lasted eight years.
If, (depends on how long we keep Wind Dancer) and when we replace the main I
would consider the stackpac set-up as we have chartered some Catalinas in
the BVI with this set-up and I've been impressed with how easy it is.
Option #2 would be the Forspare boom furler. There is a C30 on our dock
with it (not OE) and the guy really likes it. We also have the Forspare
Sales Manager as a member of our club and he's been giving me some input.
Ball park complete set-up with new main would be between $7500 and $10000.
I really like the 33.3% variance! Shows what a couple beers will do. I
know that I can do the Stacpac for allot less and that could determine the
deal.

Ralph
