[C320-list] charging problems: Alternator replacment?

I believe my alternator has failed on Amore, #139.  

Where does one find a replacement?  
Is there a good diagnosis process beyond a low reading on the gauges?  
Is there a rebuild kit?
I prefer not to upgrade to a high output and ext. regulator if possible.
