Would have to say reputation---Gori is an old-time, but state-of-the-art manufacturer in Denmark.

Well, you give up SOME performance but that's motoring....I would much
rather give up motoring performance instead of sailing performance...I
should have re-phrased my question to "Why Gori over the other mfgs?"

Well, both Catalina reps and PYacht say that you give up performance, both
forward and reverse, if you go to 2-blade from 3-blade, and PYacht says
Gori 3-blade is a great prop and that "Catalina's owner has a Gori 3-blade
on his 380." That being said, I'm not in a rush to switch.

Len,

How did you come up with that conclusion? Just curious...

After further research, have decided that if I do switch from stock
3-blade fixed to Gori folding prop, will go with 3-blade 16-1/2 x 12 for
my Yanmar 3YM30 with 2.62:1 gear ratio. Have concluded that Gori 3-blade
performance, with "overdrive" feature, is worth the added cost.
