[C320-list] charging problems: Alternator replacment?

Not to discourage this act of kindeness, but I can't
help but observe that Mr. Joe Lucas, founder of Lucas
Automotive, manufacturer of alternators among other
electric components, is fondly referred to as the
"Prince of Darkeness" among affectionados of British
motor cars.
