[C320-list] Spare Fuel Container Storage

Hi,

That's what we do. We have the plastic yellow "Gerry" cans and one of them
fits nicely between the brackets of the swim ladder on the swim platform.

Just lashed it in place there.

An interesting side note:

I bought 2 new fuel cans for the boat for the trip last year. Cleaned them
both out and filled them from the same pump.

1 can I took along for the trip. The other I left home in the basement. I
didn't need to use the spare fuel on the trip, and it stayed strapped to the
boat for a couple months. I took the can home and they both sat for another
month. I opened up both cans, and the can that was sitting on the boat had
a layer of black sediment on the bottom, and the one that sat at home had
none at all. They were both sealed quite tightly the entire time.

The only differences were the temp and motion. Wonder what caused this?

>From now on, I'll be adding a little biocide to those cans just as a
precaution (since I fill those from the gas station not a fuel dock).

Subject: [C320-list] Spare Fuel Container Storage

Does anyone have any suggestions on where the best place to store a 6 gal.
fuel container might be? I was thinking of securing on the transom, but
would appreciate to hear what others have done...Thanks in advance....

Regards,

Jon Vez
