I have had the Xantrex charger and Link 2000 charge controller for 6 years
and it is great. Consider the 40 amp version if you are ever going to get a
honda generator so you can have the higher charge. I also have the
compaigion inverter. They make a great poackage. When I ordered WindWalker
I had the factory delete the charge and added it myself.

Subject: [C320-list] ProMariner Problem

Many of you have had problems with your ProMariner 20-3 chargers, so
hopefully someone can advise me about these symptoms.

The fan occasionally cycles on and off in 10 second intervals for 3 or 4
cycles, then it either shuts off or runs normally. Also, the amperage guage
on the charger frequently goes into spasms where it bounces rapidly back and
forth between 0 and full-scale for several minutes. When it does this there
are rapid changes in the pitch of the soft buzzing noise that comes from the
unit. The fan short-cycling and the guage spasms don't usually coincide. I'm
guessing that the charger is about to self-destruct.

Has anyone else encountered any of these symptoms? I tried calling
ProMariner but had to leave a message and they didn't call back.

Also, what did you purchase as a replacement? My initial thought is that a
Xantrex charger and Link 2000 charge controller would be good choices.

Thanks in advance.
