Joan,

If this is storm related would insurance play into this and if it does, isn't easier to have a yard do it or do you have to do it yourself?

Subject: [C320-list] Stanchion Replacement

Well, it looks like I will be replacing 2 stanchions whether I want to or
not. Last night produced a tremendous storm out at the marina complete with
70 mph winds. The marina service dept. is having a fun day checking out all
the damage. Persistence effectively had a knockdown at the dock; when she
came back up apparently 2 stanchions got caught under the edge of the dock.
Service is going out to check her with a magnifying glass to make sure there
are no cracks in the fiberglass. If all I have to do is replace 2 stanchions
I will be very happy.

Question: what do people on the list use for bedding? I hesitate to use the
3M 5200 because it is so permanent. Does the 4200 produce a good seal?
Fortunately I work for a company that is a 3M distributor so I can get free
samples of whatever I need. Any suggestions?

Joan
