Scott,
There was just a long thread on the Sabre list bemoaning exactly what you
saw at Kent Narrows.  I think they said stay within a boat length or so of
the second red.  I didn't pay much attention to the thread since here on the
West Coast we are in gazillion feet after shortly leaving port...

Then again, my wing keel barely clears the bottom of Kent Narrows on the 
Chesapeake these days.  To each their own.

Have other Chesapeake sailors had Kent Narrows depth issues this year? 
It seems worse than ever on the north entrance.  We bumped a few times 
at mid time a couple of weeks ago.  Thank goodness there were no waves.
