I contacted Schaefer and they sent me some pages of the manual and was quite simple with directions, very difficult without. The adjustable backstay should be finished tomorrow. Thanks for the support.

The torque tube should be easy to remove completely, but I would not do
this without reading the manual first. There are some subtleties in how
you are supposed to do the reassembly in order to avoid damage to the
foil and bearings. You should not have to raise the foil at all to
perform this task, although you should support it with a halyard so that
it stays out of your way. Have you removed the luff rope feeder from
the bottom of the foil? My recollection (and I don't have my manual
handy) is that you have to remove the feeder in order to completely
disassemble and remove the torque tube.
