I settled on just replacing the manual pump.  Given it had not been used yet
this year it was a simple task.  While I was at it I replaced all the sea
water hoses going to and from it.  The old ones were getting stiff and
looked scummy (a technical term) anyway.

I Sail in Massachusetts without going way..... off the cost I'm always in a
protected Bay.  I've never used/heard my macerator.  I'd hate to wake
everyone in the night if I had to use the thing though.  Is it much louder
than the manual pump being used to clear out the bowl?

I had the electric toilet conversion installed this spring. It is easy to
use and works very well. Be aware that it has a macerator; it's noisy.
Similar to the sound level of our holding tank macerator.

Has anyone ever installed one of these head conversion kits?  I failed to
remember to put antifreeze in the pump over the winter and as a result need
to replace it.  I was about to order the manual pump when I spotted these
and given that I have to spend money anyway was wondering if any of you have
one of these installed and what you think about it.

And yes I know West Marine wants to much for this but the photo was handy.
Iv'e seen it else ware for about 300 the manual replacement was about half
that.
