Bill

Right, that's the same issue we have in our business. Let the sales
department do the quotes. That way we can't blame engineering.

re: Catalina inner-spring mattress - more like $1000 per cabin according
to email exchange I had with them about a year ago after the MDR annual
meeting/regatta. At the factory tour, GerryD. quoted $300. After the
parts folks quoted us the "real" price, my wife and I (who are both
Engineers) joked after that it must have been a case of 'never let the
engineer tell you the price'.

Yes. We have both, but that is only because we bought the Tufted
Topper first. The TT helped and is a well made product, but the memory
foam made the real difference. We have the foam pad on top of the TT. I
believe a top quality memory foam pad like novafoam is about half the
cost of the TT.

BTW, the new 320s come with an innerspring mattress. I do know those are
available from Catalinafor the more mature boats. I "tested" one and
it's a little firm for my tush but a lot better than the cushions. I was
told the price is about $500 per cabin, but I can't confirm that.

Thanks Walter. Are you suggesting the foam mattress instead of the
topper?
