Orlando & Dave,

Thanks for the advice and help.

I think I'll go with the 10-18 whisker pole, a 6 foot track mounted higher
than the life lines and SS screws to attach the track to the mast.  Storage
clips on the lifeline stanchions as opposed to on the mast.

I had mounted the track using 1/4 flat head SS screws on Proud Mary.  I
installed the track with the bottom about even with the life lines, as
you will never set it lower that.  As it worked out, I have never set it
that low when sailing.  I am thinking I used a 8' length of track.  You
want the top of the track high enough so that you can store the pole
completely up against the mast without the outboard end touching the
deck.

The 12-22 is over kill for the C-320.  I use a 10 - 18 on a 155 Genoa and
have had good success.  The LP of a 135 is 16.2 feet.   This is the
measurement perpendicular to the luff of the sail, so the distance away
from the mast will be less than this distance.
