Jeff - Running wire through the tubes IS a tremendous PITA. Suggestion: Go
to a drug store and get a hemostat with a straight end. Drill the small
hole where you want the wire to exit the tube. Push your snake up the tube
with the messenger line already attached to the end of the snake. Shine a
light in the hole to see when the snake passes the hole. At that point,
poke the hemostat into the hole, grab the messenger line that is running
somewhere alongside the snake, and pull the messenger line out through the
hole. All is easy after that! Of course, you still have to get the snake
past the bends in the tubes but that too is possible with patience. - Allan

Hi,

Hull #809 did not have these lead wires run unfortuantely. What a PITA
it was running them after the fact... The stern seat speakers look really
nice. Maybe some year I'll hook them up and hear what they sound like. :)

Got em for Christmas 3 years ago. Physically installed and ran the wires to
behind the radio unit last year. Maybe this is the lucky year to actually
complete the connection?

Shelly's been teasing me that the boat will have rotted away before I get
around to making that final connection.

Check if you have speaker wires already installed in the stern pulpit
tubing/stanchions. (I'm sure you would have noticed.) I had a short length
of cable already in place that went from under each stern seat to just
inside the aft locker though the stachion. I had to run wires from the
stereo at the Nav station and splice them but the hard part is getting from
the inside to the outside thru the stanchions if the wires aren't already
there.

I am planning on adding music to my boat and wanted to put speakers under
the stern rail seats and also in the salon. Any suggestions on better
locations and tips for routing the speaker wires, especially on the stern
rail seats. Thanks !!
