I was afraid of that ....I still like the Honda idea not a bad idea to have a back up gen set around at times... but was hoping that I might get away with it wonder if anyone out there has done this ...... I understand the  Honda is a 2KW.  Been told that I would need need maybe a little more to overcome the surge requirement of the  compressor kicking on.

It takes 2 Hondas and the connector setup to run tha AC
