Thanks for the information.  You previously mentioned that you don't have a
track on your mast but a ring?  I would be interested in seeing a photo of
it if you have one.  As I recall, Forespar recommended against using a ring
on our size boat but I don't see why it would be problem if designed
correctly.  Do you use a pole suitable for a 155 on the ring?  Thanks.

Yes, all I'm saying is you will make better speed if you don't go DDW, even
wing-on-wing, go 160-170...

I wouldn't give up my whisker pole for anything....

Are you saying that the performance sailing at 165 relative with
occasionally jibing to reach a location dead down wind is better than using
a whisker pole and sailing direct downwind using wing to wing?
