First, do you have the shore power cable ?
Located in the stern locker, accessible from the aft berth is a circuit
breaker for the shore power connector which is located on the stern swim
platform, port side.
For the first time hook-up, I suggest turning this breaker off.
Secure shore power cable to the connector on the boat.
Turn off circuit breaker on the electrical panel in the salon.
Plug in shore power connector at the dock. Hopefully the size connector
matches ( i.e. 30amp to 30 amp. ) Actually check this out first before
starting anything.
At this point, you should have power to the boat.
Turn on the circuit breaker in the aft locker.
Now you have power to the electrical panel in the salon.
Check to make sure polarity light is not on.
Turn on circuit breaker located on salon panel.
Check voltage on the batteries. Should be 14 volts or so.
At this point you can turn on switches, breakers, etc. and check each one
out.
If you have a DC/AC inverter, there could be a shore power switch there as
well.
Jeff Hare is our resident electrical expert and he probably will have
comments to add.

Subject: [C320-list] Shore Power
We are on a mooring for our sailing season and have not yet hooked up to
shore power. As we are planning a short cruise soon, we would like to know
the
correct procedure for hooking up to shore power. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
