[C320-list] Bedding Compound

Well Warren, I'm now totally confused.  Yesterday I brought back my tube of 5200 and got 4000.  I only have one stanchion that leaks so I'm going to throw away the used tube.  Thanks for the advice, I do appreciate it.

By golly, don't use 3M 5200 for bedding stantions.  Use a polysuflide product like LifeCalk from BoatLife or even their newer product.  I think 3M 4200 is polysulfide too.  Don't buy the squeeze (toothpaste-like) tubes, look for the calk gun type tube.  BoatLife even has a half tube.  By all means, find and read the past thread on rebedding.  This calk stuff is like baby poop.  Once you get it on a tool or your hand, it seems to magically migrate to every object nearby.  

I've done it on two boats and will continue to do it.  It's not a bad job, just time consuming.
