[C320-list] Bottom Paint

My understanding is that ablative is best to keep for many reasons.

Diver for my boat reports that the ablative paint on the 4 "pads" (where boat was supported while bottom primed and painted 3-coats, then moved to paint pads) is chipping off and recommends having the yard haul out and redo paint on the 4 pads at their cost---boat is new, in water since mid-Nov. Any suggestions?

Steve - If you switch from ablative to hard paint, keep in mind that you
must remove all the ablative first. That job alone is enough to make me lie
down until the urge goes away...

To All,
I've raced our 320 in local club races for a few years now. I've always
used an ablative paint because I didn't dive on the boat and paid a diver
once a
month to do so. I plan on diving on the boat to clean it regularly this
year and am considering switching to a hard paint. I would appreciate any
input, pro or con, before I do so.
Thanks,
Steve Lunsford
