My steps were worn unevenly to the point where I would need to strip them prior to refinishing. Once I did so, I decided just to use teak oil on them and have been quite pleased.

Subject: [C320-list] refinishing steps

Does anyone have any recommendations on what to use to refinish the
steps from the cockpit to the galley?

I've read a lot about "ultimate sole" but since it's specifically
marketed as sole finish, I'm wondering if there's something better for
the steps..
I did find/read an interesting post that recommended "rexthane" by
sherwin-williams, but a trip to the sherwin-williams store revealed a
price of $218/gallon, and I only need a quart so that seems a bit
extreme.. but I do like the idea of adding their "shark-grip" texture
additive to give the steps some friction..

Thanks!

Ben

!!- _______________________________________
!!- C320-List at catalina320.com mailing list
!!- Archives Here: http://www.catalina320.com/list/archives
!!- Change Subscription Here: http://www.catalina320.com/list/change
!!- Subscribe Here: http://www.catalina320.com/list/join
