I bought leather shroud covers that wrap around the bottom of the shrouds and attach with velcro. If you thighten them properly and push them all the way to the deck the sheets will not catch. I have not gotten around to placing them back on from winter storage and the sheets have jammed every time I have sailed. Before the next sail I will definitely replace them. I purchased them from the same leather store that I purchased my leather wheel cover, they are the same color. I also purchased covers for my safety lines near the bow to protect the jib from chafing. All were great investments.
