My ID card doesn't carry the same clout as yours Dick, but occassionally my
wife and/or friends will refer to me as Captain.

It goes Captain, Admiral, Commander in that order, doesn't it? :)

They boarded me in March. I handed the CPO my ID card, he saluted, said
thank you Admiral and promptly departed.

WE do have allot of security in San Diego Harbour. Last week I counted 4
agencies all milling around.

1. USCG
2. USN Port Security
3. SD Harbour Police
4. Customs

They boarded us over the transom, by simply putting the bow of their RIB
onto the swim grid and scrabbling 3 people up and over our stern and into
the cockpit. The RIB stood off while they undertook the inspection.

They had launched the RIB from a large cutter in order to "pull us over" for

the routine inspection. Good practice for them i suppose to launch it as sea

etc.

By the way, we got their "Gold Seal" as they called it, with everthing
checking out perfectly!
