I thought I read somewhere that boat manufacturers were starting to use Spectra line for their lifelines and that Nicro makes terminal ends for that purpose.

In Australia you're unable to get the Yachting Australia safety
certificate if your lifelines have a plastic coating. This applies even
to the lowest possible category 7 inshore safety certificates.

On the list this year is lifeline replacement. My thought was to use
bare stainless wire (not coated), and QuickAttach (SunCor) swageless
fittings. While maybe a bit pricey, at least the connectors can be
reused, while the wire can be replaced.
Any thoughts or suggestions? If this isn't a great idea, any
recommendations for riggers/services to put together a new set of
lifelines?
thanks for your thoughts!
