Mike,
Thanks for chasing this down! I did find mine in a similar pile of
Christmas catalogs.
Again, thanks,
Bruce

Subject: [C320-list] Mainsheet and decals - quick message from your
Commodore

All,
I spoke to Lu Ann at Nanosec today (they provide the administrative
services for 320IA) about the missing Mainsheet and additional 320
decals. Here's the scoop:

1. Mainsheets magazines: It's not unusual for some members to receive
them at different times in the month as they're mailed in batches. She
advised waiting for a few more days. She did mention she receives about
15 copies every quarter to supply to new members joining mid-stream so
they're not waiting too many months to receive their first issue. I
suggested she use this stock to satisfy those vocal enough to comment
about missing Mainsheets. I supplied her the names of the 4 members I
have noted on the email list since 20 Nov (as of this morning since I
see a few messages coming in as I write this - as well as amessage about
someone just receiveing it today!) who haven't rec'd the latest
Mainsheet (these are Dave Anderer, Chris Burti, Bruce Heyman, Marshall
Lucas). Of the four names, 3 were definitely on the list supplied to the
printer to receive Mainsheet and one name (no need to identify here)
didn't respond in time for 320IA renewal so that name wasn't on this
latest list for the printer. If I missed a name please wait a few more
days before contacting me. In my case, I recently found my missing
Mainsheet buried with all the Christmas catalogs we receive this time of
year - my wife wanted to know what I was hinting at! Lu Ann said she
would check with the printer and get back to me if they had if they had
any unusual delays this quarter. All in all the process seems time
proven and simple as least as far as admin support provided by Nanosec
to our membership. She, of course, couldn't speak for Catalina, the
printer, or the US Mail.

2. 320IA decals. Thanks to previous Commodore Russ Monaco, last year we
distributed 320IA decals to members. And there's been a couple emails
from members who lost them, want additional decals, never rec'd them
etc. After some thought I instructed Nanosec (who includes one with
every new membership) to include a decal every time she sends a thank
you letter for renewing 320IA membership. I took an action item to order
more as she only had about 40 on hand, they're really inexpensive
marketing for our group for example I put mine on my car and have been
asked about the 320IA in the marina parking lot. I also asked her to
snail me a dozen so I can mail to members that just can't wait until
renewal time for a decal. So drop me note in a week or two with your
mailing address, otherwise wait for renewal time. Just think, given
enough years of membership, you can have a 320IA decal on every port!

That's is for now,
Mike LaChance
