[C320-list] stuffing box packing

That's fine if you keep using the same kind of packing.  But if you mix 
the GFO stuff with traditional and then tighten to a dripless condition 
the older packing still in the stuffing box might score the shaft or 
cause it to overheat.  So I think you need to remove all of the old 
stuff before switching to GFO.
