Dave,

Here's a long shot. Does one of your stanchions have a vent hole at the 
base? Catalina used to vent the holding tank thru the stanchion. I don't 
think they do that anymore, but if they are still using the vented 
stanchion, maybe water could get in under the right circumstances?
