[C320-list] Anybody know about George McCanless?

Browsing this site brought back some memories.  One was discovering that George McCanless was a Fleet Captain for a Gulf of Mexico fleet back in 2000.  I remember meeting George and his wife in Chicago 2002 and vaguely recall he may have been an officer the following year.  I don't remember seeing them at subsequent regattas.  Does anyone know what happened to them?
