John,
In addition to the excellent advice you've already gotten I would add that
it is important to make sure that the boat is very well balanced. Ours has
real trouble on a broad reach, quartering seas and anything other than
neutral helm.
Has anyone upgrade their 4000 plus with the ruder transducer? Was it
difficult to install or configure?

Subject: Re: [C320-list] Autopilot

This is my first Raymarine Autohelm (4000). I've had several Simrad &
Robertson autopilots but the setup are different. My question is when I
go to a
reach especially a broad reach the autopilot drift to much. What is the
best
way to correct for the reaching? And can it be done without sucking to much

juice out of the battery? Thanks JOHN
PS: Pointing to weather the autopilot works pretty good.
