I do not understand the "Custom Made" part. The elbow is a standard Yanmar
part. Jon are you the first owner?

Bruce,

Not a dumb question at all. Since the elbow that Catalina custom made on my
boat is a single piece, the first time I replace the elbow I have to replace
all three. Once this is done I will only have to worry about the part
downstream from the water as you suggest. For a long time I thought I was
the one missing something when I tried to get a 'stock' elbow only to
realize that it was unique to my boat. I haven't found any other hulls that
have this custom elbow yet. I will post a picture when I get a chance...

Regards,

Jon
