[C320-list] preventer

I've been thinking of how to rig up a simple preventer
using fittings already on the boat. I thought that a
shackle on the boom padeye for the mainsheet to a shap
shackel to a ready made boom vang set up with a cam
cleat to a snap sackle to a pad eye on the end of the
jib car track might work. Any thoughts or is there an
easier way. Thanks. Jim Brown
