Here's a ddw tip when using a cruising spin---lower your main (or reef it to the 1st point), it will allow your spin to fill a lot better on deeper wind angles...

Still learning and playing with one I bought this past year.

Sucks dead down wind with the main up. Couldn't get it quit luffing
quartering, but that was due to my lack of knowledge in either
rigging, trimming or both.

I am eager to hear some tips from those who use them successfully.
