Joe, I got a really nice mylar racing genoa from Rolly Tasker sails in
Phuket Thailand for about 60% of what I was quoted here.  Have a look at
their website: this is no mom-and-pop operation!  I dealt with them direct,
mostly by e-mail, and was very happy with the product, the speed of
delivery, and the price.

I am shopping around for a new 135% Genoa  (Dacron cruising Genoa) with UV
cover and foam luff.  I am receiving quotes between $1,600 from FX sails to
$2,200 from Quantum, and UK/Halsey.  Is this a case of you get what you pay
for? If anyone has purchased a new genoa lately and would share where they
bought it, what they paid, and how happy they are with it,  would be much
appreciated.  I would like to buy now before the 2008 price increases.
