FRIDAY September 8

08:00-12:00 		C-320 Board Meeting at CYC (As desired)

09:00-17:00		Arrivals &  Registration on CYC Veranda

13:00-16:00		Technical Demonstrations on lawn:
1300	Garhauer – Mike 
1400	Lewmar - Bob Davidsen
1445		Yanmar -  Elias
1530	  	Boat rigging/tuning at Crane Area –Paul/Scott
		
1700-18:00		Boat Open house  
(Those who have boats at CYC please share a glass of wine and show off your
boat).    
18:00			Cocktails on Lawn (East side of Clubhouse)
18:45			Mexican Dinner on Lawn
		

SATURDAY September 9

		08:00 -10:00		Final Registration – Coffee on Porch
		0930 - 1000		C-320 Annual Business Meeting
		10:00 – 10:10		Race Briefing – Man Boats After
		11:00			First Race Start  (First Gun at
10:55)
Second Race to Follow about 1300-1330
		Following Races 	(About 15:30-16:00 return to CYC)
		18:00			Cocktails  (The bar will actually be
open all 							afternoon)
		19:00			Gala Dinner in CYC Main Dining Room
			Gerry Douglas Talk, Q &A, & (Racing Awards)
		

SUNDAY September 10

		09:00			Coffee and 



11:00	Depart CYC Regatta Group Sail through San Diego
Bay to Pt Loma Light House. (A fun Sail for all.  Perhaps a group Photo
passing under the Coronado Bridge.)
		16:00 (About)		Return to CYC

Hi,

My partner just asked me to describe what actually happens at a
regatta.
I assume some amount of racing but what else takes place?

I have never been to a Regatta, so I really couldn't answer.
