[C320-list] Removal of stemhead fitting

Hi,

Has anyone removed the stemhead fitting from their 320?  I have to remove mine to get some welding done on it and am worried that the rub rail may interfere with its removal.

I looks like once the bolts are removed it should be able to slide up and out of the gap between the deck/hull joint and the rubrail.  Unfortunately, things always look easier than they are.
