Bruce,

What size slip are you trying to fit into at Dana Point? Are you in Dana East or Dana West?

Out of curiosity how much did a new one cost. I've got ours at a metal
worker in Newport. As I'm in Dana Point I needed to make it shorter to keep
them from charging me for the next larger slip size. The estimate for the
rework is $475-500.

Steve,

Hopefully you'll never need another pulpit for awhile but for the benefit of
others on the list I replaced my pulpit 2 years ago as well. My boatyard
arranged for Catalina to put it on the next truck of stuff to one of the
area Catalina dealers. The boatyard had someone drive to 50 miles to the
dealer to fetch it but much cheaper than paying shipping as it turned out.

Got mine from Catalina (not Catalina Direct). Make sure you order the
correct one. They are specific for port and starboard.

My gate stanchion came in a few days. However, the bow pulpit took
over one month, and the shipping was almost as much as the hardware
(the pulpit (and probably the gate stanchion) came from "Rail Makers",
Catalina's OEM stainless fabricator.)
