I get parts from both Foley and Trans Atlantic Diesel in VA. Trans Atlantic told me about the air filter. I had them send me 2 and they were Perkins Factory parts. Filter fits perfectly into the manifold compartment between the two mental screens. The front screen is held on with two small screws.

I think they cost me about a dollor or two each.

I need to check to see how it is holding up.

According to Foley Engines who are Perkins dealers, the Perkins engines do not
have filters in the air intake. If you do put one in, make sure it is the type
of foam used for air filters and not the soft foam that breaks down easily. I
bought a foam replacement filter for a shop vac at a box store and cut out a
piece. I'm not sure if I'll continue to use it.
