  Must have been some damn northerner like me that brought "the curse"
with them. I lived in Costa Mesa in spring 78 through fall of 79 and
in
the 78-79 winter we had about 1" of snow - first in 20+ years. Of
course
I had left the 'Blizzard of '78' behind in Mass with 3 Feet of snow so
it was cute trivia for me.

Tis true indeed. It snowed in Malibu and the Santa Monica Mtns, and
they 
had to plow.  Can you picture a snowplow in Southern California? The
news 
showed kids making snowmen and snowballs. It was pretty cool.
Obviously
it 
didn't make it down your way?
