I had water in the main cockpit locker last year and yes, it was caused by
the engine anti-siphon loop.  Make sure you tighten the top of this inversed
"U".  If the water leaks through the holes where the anti-siphon loop hoses
go through the locker floor it will collect on another "sub-floor" below
which is about a quarter-inch below and is the real support for the locker
floor.  Then when the boat heels when sailing, it will slowly leak into your
aft cabin bunk (where the teak rail is), causing everything you sleep on to
get a good soaking.  And it's almost impossible to get the water out of that
inaccessible space between the two "floors" due to capillary action.

Then again it could be caused from cleaning the cockpit with a spray water
hose.

I'm sudddenly finding a bit of water (maybe a quarter of an inch)in the main
big cockpit locker.  Could it be to do with the breather-thingy in there?
(motored 12 hours last evening)

Does anyone have experience/recommendations?

(Just finished the Lake Ontario 300 today - 108 entries.  We were doing
really well and sailing with much bigger boats 'til the wind quit on us and
all but one in our division retired.  Great adventure though!)
