According to the Edson manual.... 30W oil on the wire rope and sheave bearings.

The Marelon rudder bearings and packing gland are non-metallic, designed to operate with no lubrication. Specifically, no petroleum grease, WD-40, aerosol or paste, silicone gel, Teflon gel, or Lanolin. ONLY WATER. (per Engineering Directive dated 5 June 1999)
