[C320-list] Propane Tank Pressure

Hi Bryan,

Since you don't fill the tank all that often, you should look at the shape
of the handle on the top of the tank.

If it's triangle shaped then, just take it to any propane filler and they'll
top it up for you just like any gas grill. I refill mine once a year
usually.

If the handle is round or has more than three gripping points, then it may
be the older tank with the non-OPD valve. If you don't have the OPD tank
and it's illegal these days for propane guys in the U.S. to refill them, so
you'll need to buy a new tank.

That said, the previous owner has *probably* already replaced the original
tank with the newer one having the Overfill Protection Device.

Just wanted to point this out so that you're not surprised if you find you
still have an older tank.

Subject: [C320-list] Propane Tank Pressure

Hello all,

I am preparing for an extended cruise on the boat and wanted to be sure I
have enough propane for many meals aboard. I have never refilled the
propane since I've owned the boat (3 yrs) and have only now actually paid
any attention to the pressure gauge.

My question is, what should the pressure reading be for a full propane tank?
I have 100psi now, is this good? Is this almost empty? Any insight from the
sage gurus on the list would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help,

v/r
