[C320-list] Prospective 320 buyer apology

Adam,
The Keys trip was late April 2006 and I sent an e-mail to the list upon
return, especially covering the night sail from Marathon to Naples when we
3 guys fought 25-30 kt winds from 10pm to 6am; before that there was not
much wind from 9am to 9pm, and the entire leg was 21 hours. Warm
temperature helped a lot because we were taking swells over the beam during
the very dark, moonless night and got soaked. The 320 performed very well
under a main with one reef, but if I had it to do over, I would have put in
two reefs before dark instead of one, but I had come to not believe the
forecast which said 20 kts of winds would arrive 9 hours earlier.
Maybe you could find that e-mail in the archives, but I did not keep a
copy.
Key West was a terrific destination and the nine hour Hawk Channel leg from
Key West to Marathon featured great sailing and wonderfully varying water
colors; the wide channel is separated from the Atlantic by reefs.

to wear ten layers when we go sailing I want to read something warm.
