Planning and organization for this year's Regatta has been started.
 
The event will be held in concert with the East Coast Catalina Rendezvous  in 
Mystic, CT from August 10 to 12, 2007.
 
Details of the agenda put together for the East Coast Rendezvous have been  
requested from Sharon Day of Catalina Yachts and will be coming shortly.
 
In the meantime, I have started an independent search for rooms in the  area. 
 I have not checked availability yet since we need to know the number  of 
members planning to attend and will need accommodations, type of room  desired, 
whether or not the group wants to be in the same hotel, price range,  etc.
 
Hotels in the area range from Days Inn at published rate of $69, Howard  
Johnson's at $79, Comfort Inn at $90, Marriott Residence Inn at $199.

If you will be attending.
Your preferences on accommodations (Price and group or self). 
Whether or not you plan on bringing your boat.
Will you be racing or cruising.
 
 
The area has several attractions - Mystic Seaport Museum, Aquarium, Groton  
Submarine Naval Yard, parks and walking tours of the area, Tall Ship  cruises.  
Just do a goggle search on Mystic, CT. to learn more.
