Jeff:
East Coast of NC !!
We live in a small coastal community - Bath, NC; Bath is approx. 35 miles
East of Greenville, NC and we are on the Pamlico River which leads into the
Pamlico Sound and to the ocean . With the exception of a "lively" nightlife
I believe we hit on all the rest of your key points ( Greenville is pretty
active especially with East Carolina Univ. being there ).
As to sailing, this past season we were sailing in January; we may have
missed 1 - 2 months of no sailing ; boat is left in the water ; did not
winterize although many do - just used heaters below. Many places to sail
from this point - north to the Chesapeake and South to Oriental, New Bern,
Beaufort, Bald Head Island , East to Ocracoke Island (part of the Outerbank
chain), Cape Lookout etc.
Great area well worth investigation.
If serious and wish to look at this area let me know - be glad to help - I
am a recruiter and my wife is in real estate.
